Andrew Keen is the Managing Director of Healthglo Fitness and Leisure, and the Burnie Campus Director for the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers.
Burnie Campus Director: Andrew Keen
Andrew commenced his sporting life at the age of four and first became aware of the importance of conditioning at 15 whilst training with the ACT (Canberra) under 15 representative football side.
At age 16, he ventured into the first serious training regime of his life at Harry’s Gym in Phillip, Canberra. Harry Haureliuk ended up becoming a four-time Mr Universe and five time Mr Olympia champion. Andrew derives an enormous amount of inspiration from the commitment a bodybuilder has to his training regime.
Andrew’s aim is to instill the confidence into his clients that they have the ability to achieve their goals. He has had a privileged life being able to help others recover from injury, lose weight, gain body mass, make squad selection or simply get more out of life.
Some 30 years since Andrew first stepped inside a gym, the passion and desire to afford others the benefits that a healthy lifestyle has bought him still burns strong. Healthglo Fitness and Leisure provides fitness and leisure activities to the communities on the North West Coast. Their facilities cover group exercise, strength training, cardio equipment, swimming pool, squash courts, functional training studio, assessments and physiotherapy.
