Amanda Carter, AIPT Graduate
"I plan to keep growing my knowledge and to start an online training platform in the future so that I can reach more people. I want to help as many people as possible feel the physical and mental changes from training and give them the tools to change their lifestyle".
Tell us a bit about yourself
Hi, my names Amanda, I’m 25 years old, and I’m a dog mum to two staffys.
My core beliefs revolve around mindset, consistency and discipline. With the correct training and nutrition advice, I was able to transform my body and feel confident in myself. I have been on a mission ever since to help others do the same.
What made you decide to pursue a career in fitness?
I have always had a passion for health and fitness and love helping others by sharing knowledge with them, but I didn’t think I had “the time” to make it into a career. When I found AIPT, I had no excuse but to dive in! The flexibility they offer made it a no brainer decision, and I’ve never looked back.
Why did you choose to study with AIPT?
I choose to study with AIPT because they offered flexibility to fit studying into my lifestyle. I am a full-time real estate agent, and at the time, I had also started taking on group fitness classes. With varying work hours, being able to fit study in around my jobs made the whole process much less stressful. I also couldn’t commit to doing my particle hours face-to-face on-campus so being able to select a mentor who could work in with my availability was an absolute life savour!
What are your plans for the future?
I’m currently a group fitness instructor and OFFICIALLY A PERSONAL TRAINER at a local CrossFit gym and LOVE absolutely everything about my job. I plan to keep growing my knowledge and to start an online training platform in the future so that I can reach more people. I want to help as many people as possible feel the physical and mental changes from training and give them the tools to change their lifestyle. I aspire to promote female empowerment and positively impact lives all over the world.
What would you say to people who are considering taking the leap into a career in fitness?
Choosing a career in fitness is such a rewarding experience; you get to help people change their lives and improve their health and fitness. What could be more rewarding than seeing your clients improve and grow in confidence and knowing that you are a part of that? If you have been thinking about it – DO IT! You obviously love fitness if you have gotten this far and at worst you are going to walk away with a wealth of knowledge to improve yourself.
