Cancellations

Certificate and Diploma courses

If, for any reason, AIPT cancel, postpone or delay your course you will be offered a number of alternative study options. If none of these is acceptable, you will be eligible for a refund of any course fees paid to AIPT. This refund will only apply if you have not already commenced the course. A student may be eligible for a pro-rata refund where they have commenced their course and AIPT cancel, postpone or delay the course or sessions. This pro-rata refund is dependent on the number of units the student has completed or the number of classes attended. Students attending face to face delivery may also have the option to be transferred to the online delivery mode of their course.

If you are enrolled into a face to face delivery course with AIPT, it is your responsibility to ensure you fulfil the requirements of class attendance, and properly notify AIPT if you are unable to attend the scheduled classes (refer to your timetable for further information).

In the event of non-attendance at three (3) consecutive sessions, our Program Coordinators will attempt to contact you on three (3) separate occasions (via phone and email) to confirm your commitment to your course. If we are unable to make contact with you, AIPT reserve the right to cancel your enrolment and this will be processed when the above requirement has not been met. This will not entitle you to a refund of course fees paid, as non-attendance would constitute a breach of your student obligations.

Diploma-level courses - Accessing VET FEE-HELP

If you have elected to pay for your diploma course via VET FEE-HELP, you are required to complete and submit your Request for VET FEE-HELP Assistance Form. If this form is not completed and returned to AIPT after the two (2) day cooling off period, and by the fifteenth (15) day from your date of enrolment, AIPT will cancel your enrolment.

If, for any reason, AIPT cancel, postpone or delay your course you will be entitled to a refund of the course fees paid or a re-credit of your VET FEE-HELP balance. You will first be offered a transfer to another course in order to continue your study. If a transfer is not available or no suitable options can be found, a full refund will be given.

As non-attendance would constitute a breach of your student obligations, if you have passed one or more census dates for your chosen course, you will remain liable for the tuition fees associated with the relevant VET units of study.
