Infection Control

Important information about our Infection Control unit transition related to your course.

Further to our earlier communication issued on 16 and 25 January 2023, we are now able to provide additional information regarding the change to our Infection Control Unit of Competency included in your course. Specifically, this unit is HLTINF003 Implement and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

HLTINF003 will be replaced with HLTINF007 in the following qualification: 

• 10967NAT Diploma of Nutrition 

We are pleased to advise that our new infection control and gap training units are developed and ready to take on enrolments. We will start to transition students into the new units over the coming weeks.

If you have not started the old unit yet, sit tight and do not commence this unit. Your enrolment will be auto transitioned into the new unit course from Friday 10 February. Once you are transitioned, you can commence immediately.

If you have already completed the old unit but not the full qualification by 28 February, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the old unit and will be enrolled into the Gap Training and Assessment of the new unit. Once you are enrolled, the education team can guide you through the gap assessment requirements.

If you have started the unit and completed a substantial amount of work, we encourage you to complete and submit all assessment evidence by COB 17 February 2023 at the latest. If your submission is marked as satisfactory, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for this unit and enrol in the Gap Training and Assessment for the new unit. If you need any support in finishing this unit, please schedule in a coaching call.

You will notice that the new unit has significant changes, but you can rest assured that we have the required measures to support you through to full completion in the new course. Further information will be provided to you shortly.
