Kyle McGiveron, AIPT Graduate
"Go for it! If you are someone who loves helping others, has a strong passion for the fitness industry, and wants to help educate individuals to live a healthier, happier, more fulfilled life, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!"
Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Kyle, and I’m 20 years of age. I live and work on the North-West coast of Tasmania, operating as a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. I aim to simplify the fundamental principles for clients, to alleviate confusion and create a successful outcome, all while striving to enhance mindset and push every individual beyond what they originally thought was possible.
What made you decide to pursue a career in fitness?
I always knew from an early age that I wanted to create positive change in the lives of others. When I first started attending the gym, I became addicted to the progression and pushing myself to improve. I knew if I could combine my love for the gym and what it has to offer, with an opportunity to help others achieve their goals, I would truly be doing what I love, which has always been an important rule in my life.
What course did you study? Which gym did you have your Face-to-Face practical assessments?
I studied my Certificate IV in Fitness, which was a large eye-opener and a huge learning curve! I came out of my Certificate IV with a great amount of knowledge, relating to many areas, which has set me up well for the future. I must credit my great mentor who helped guide me through the course content, as well as the AIPT educators, who helped me with anything I wasn’t sure on. I found the ‘Live-Chat’ option on the website extremely useful, by simply being able to jump online to ask a quick question and receive a swift response.
Why did you choose to study with AIPT?
I heard great reports about the AIPT from other past students, and the depth of the course content was unlike any other learning institute I had come across. I knew if I wanted to maximise the opportunity to become the best trainer I could, then I needed to study with one of the very best educators out there.
What are your plans for the future?
For me, this is only the tip of the iceberg! I am always trying to up-skill and improve as a trainer each and every day. I will continue studying, so I can provide my clients with the best possible service I’m able.
What would you say to people who are considering taking the leap into a career in fitness?
Go for it! If you are someone who loves helping others, has a strong passion for the fitness industry, and wants to help educate individuals to live a healthier, happier, more fulfilled life, then this is the perfect opportunity for you! Don’t put it off for the next “few months”, “a couple of years”, or even “when I get time”, as chances are, you’ll never get to it. Do it now and forever be thankful that you did!
