Joel Pengelly, AIPT Fitness Graduate
Starting a career in fitness and being a part of the change in someone else’s life for the greater good was all the motivation Joel needed make it a reality
After searching around for the best training package to start a career in fitness, Joel began his study journey with the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers (AIPT) by studying the Certificate IV Fitness SIS40210/Diploma of Business BSB50215 dual qualification. Initial nerves regarding his success were soon triumphed by a passion for fitness and a desire to share that passion.
“I myself am a product of what a healthier lifestyle can give you. I had spent a number of years struggling with my weight and was close to 100k (this is a lot for me). I would look at myself and get depressed and very much unmotivated to do anything. After some soul searching and support from friends I made the changes necessary and put in a lot of hard work in the gym, as well as nutritionally.”
“Reaching my goal weight of 80 kilograms really sparked a passion for fitness, and I really wanted to share this passion and give back to those in need, as I was once in need too.”
This passion for fitness and wanting to help other led me to becoming a qualified Personal Trainer.”
Joel has recently started his own personal training business, Pengo’s PT and Fitness in Gladstone, operating in a private studio after work hours. He seeks to establish himself as a renowned fitness professional and move towards the operation of a full time studio.
Joel credits AIPT for the help and support received throughout his studies, as well as helping to build confidence in providing a service to those in need of a lifestyle change.
“I would definitely recommend others to AIPT. The content and materials are great and the support from AIPT staff is amazing and very helpful.”
“I wouldn’t have the skills and knowledge I have today if not for the great training and support provided from AIPT.”
