Paul Hooper Success Story

Student Success Story

Tell us a Bit About Yourself.

Hi, my name is Paul, and I am an AIPT mentor.

I worked as a Construction Project Manager for 13 years, and I wanted more for my career – something I could fit around family life and that also meant I could motivate and inspire others to get active.

What Made you Decide to Pursue a Career in Fitness?

Being a successful junior golfer, A-grade Rugby Union player and an International mixed netball player, sport and fitness have always been a huge part of my life from a young age. It wasn’t until I began testing my mind and body by competing as a Natural Bodybuilder that I decided to turn my passion for health and fitness into my career.

What is Your Role?

Now I have my own fitness business, Paul’s Body Engineering, and train a number of clients at EzyFit Health and Fitness Club on the Sunshine Coast. My extensive health and fitness background has allowed me to offer one-on-one personal training, competition prep, weight loss programs and online coaching.

My business acumen also meant I could contribute to the education of future fitness professionals so I made the decision to become an on-campus Facilitator at the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers Kawana campus.

What is the Best Part of Your Job?

I love being able to prepare my students for their own success, equipping them with specialist knowledge in weight management, strength and conditioning training, as well as chronic fatigue recovery and contest preparation.
