At the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers, we are passionate about helping young people fulfil their passion for health and fitness. Our range of fitness, sport and recreation courses provide school students with practical skills that will prepare you to step straight into or a job or continue onto University following graduation.
What is the VET Program?
Vocational Education and Training (VET) offers students the opportunity to graduate from school with a nationally recognised Certificate II or Certificate III level qualification.
Our VET courses are completed as a subject throughout years 9, 10 and 11 and 12, in addition to your existing subjects.
Each course is designed to fit around your busy schedule and is delivered either online or at your school with a course facilitator.

Step into the world of fitness and training and learn the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology principles, healthy eating information, as well as planning and delivering gym and training programs.
With a Certificate III in Fitness, students will be able to assist new gym members to use equipment and lead small group classes through basic programming. Should students wish to continue their studies, you can move onto the Certificate IV in Fitness SIS40210 and become a qualified Personal Trainer.
NSW students will complete a variation of this course that fits with in their school's requirements. At the time of graduation, students will be entitled to a Statement of Attainment.
Learn how to provide support in the provision of sport and recreation programs, grounds and facilities maintenance in locations such as fitness centres, outdoor sporting grounds or complexes or aquatic centres.
The Certificate II in Sport and Recreation will enable students to work in the sport and recreation industry in a generalist capacity under supervision.
Gain the knowledge and skills needed to support the operation of fitness centres, outdoor sporting grounds or complexes, aquatic centres and community recreation centres.
The Certificate III in Sport and Recreation will enable students to effectively maintain grounds and playing surfaces, provide customer service, take on housekeeping duties and provide quality administrative assistance.
