Our Complete Personal Trainer^ program offers you an interactive hands-on approach to learning, giving you the knowledge and skills you need to assess clients and tailor exercise programs to reach their individual goals.

If you haven't yet completed a Certificate III in Fitness SIS30315, this course is the complete package, equipping you with the necessary knowledge and competencies required to work as a successful Personal Trainer. You will start with the core units of the Certificate III in Fitness before launching into the Certificate IV in Fitness SIS40215.

Learning from real fitness professionals, in real gyms, this course covers the fundamentals of fitness plus an understanding of the latest in healthy eating trends, motivational psychology and the essentials of small business planning.

In order to complete your practical component, you must hold a current “working with children check” (card) issued by the relevant government department in the state or territory in which you will undertake this course. You must also obtain or hold a current first aid and CPR certificate. Please note that the cost of this external training is not included in any of your course fees.

Course Outcomes

Once obtained, the Complete Personal Trainer will enable you to work as a fully qualified Personal Trainer. It will also allow you to gain employment in fitness areas such as:

Face-to-Face On-Campus - Complete PT

52 hours face-to-face practical delivered on-campus with theory components completed online, in your own time.

40 hours of face-to-face practical completed with an AIPT Mentor, a qualified Personal Trainer, who will guide you through your course material and provide you with hands-on experience, with theory components completed online, in your own time.

Choose your own mentor* to guide you through 40 hours of face-to-face practical. Theory components are completed online, in your own time.

*Your chosen Mentor must be approved by the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers.
